Spoken French
Like English, French is spoken in all continents of the world and has many different varieties. The most common are listed below.

French French
The original form of spoken French and the basis of the many diversities of the language. This form is widely understood by anyone with French as their primarily language for communication. It is distinguished by its clarity and adherence to the original form of the language.

Canadian French
Spoken mainly in Quebec it is the French language brought there mainly from northern, western and eastern parts of France, This form keeps old French expressions, but has been influenced by the nature and the British culture of Canada and the closeness of the United States.

 
Belgian, Luxembourg and Swiss French
This form of French is almost the same as the French spoken in France.

African French
Spoken in most of North and West Africa (such as Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Senegal). The written French in these countries is the same as in France and follows the grammatical and orthographical rules standardised by the French government. But there are differences in dialects and pronunciation and in the usage of vocabulary.
